Getting it right

So it's no real secret that I fell into Hannah Hall Photography last year, somewhat by accident. The truth is now that I'm here, I wouldn't have it any other way and I'm so excited about the future... But I've definitely gone the backwards way about finding my feet and getting business ready.

Recently I've been focusing on finding my style on paper; establishing a colour scheme and some branding and starting to create stationary that matches. I love my mini business cards, but my current design uses too many colours, so I'm awaiting delivery of a new design.

Taking inspiration from my favourite recycled wool picnic blanket that you might have seen in some of my photographs, I've been working closely with Harriet at Kissing Otters to create something beautiful... Next to overhaul the blog!

It's all about purples, fawns and greys... I'd love to know what you think! And if you're looking for a wedding photographer, please get in touch so I can send you your very own copy!

Amy & Nick's seaside wedding

Amy and I have known each other for a long time but I couldn't really tell you how. Anyway, I was absolutely honoured when her and Nick asked me to capture their big day. Amy's 50's vision came together beautifully; her custom made dress by Nova Clarke, her gents in tweed, layers of underskirts all topped off with a fabulous reception at Morgan's Vintage Dancehall on Margate Seafront.

Amy is a cake maker by trade and made her own cake and the couple who hate having their photograph taken were complete naturals, even delaying their speeches and cake cutting to head back to the beach at sunset... And it was completely worth it! I struggled to choose a few images from this wedding, so here's loads!

Thank you Mr and Mrs Johnson for letting me be a part of your day, I enjoyed every second!

Don't forget you can visit me here.

Mr & Mrs Norman - 5th July 2014

Despite waking up to rain, the day brightened up in anticipation of Mr & Mrs Norman's nuptials. Sunflowers were the perfect flower to complement the dark blue theme that ran though the wedding and I adored the gents' blue suits and bridesmaids dark blue wrap dresses. The day was filled with personal and thoughtful touches, my favourite being the pin Stacey carried on her bouquet, keeping her mum close to her on her wedding day.

Congratulations, Stacey and Andrew! Such an honour and and a privilege to be a part of your day.
